On the 24th of October, the TY class took part in a surfing lesson in Culdaff. We started off by learning how to lie on the board and the best way to get up straight without falling over. We were taught to lie with our hands by our sides to push ourselves up onto our feet. We then played a game on the sand to warm up before heading off into the sea. The game was called “Crazy Crab” and consisted of one person being on their hands and knees trying to catch people running past. Whoever was caught also had to go on their hands and knees. There were a lot of big waves and a few people were good enough to take advantage of them. Standing on the board proved extremely difficult and most of us hit the water more times than we got standing on the board. This trip was really fun and could be considered as the best trip yet.
