On the 6th of October, the TY class and a few fifth years went to the Aviva in Dublin to see Ireland take on Georgia. It was a World Cup 2018 qualifier and therefore was of some importance to each team. The bus journey up was good craic and there was a lot of excitement getting off the bus. The match proved quite disappointing but Ireland came away with a 1-0 win so we were content. What was even more disappointing was the fact that I missed the only goal of the game. My heart sank as I heard cheering coming from the stands (I was in the toilet). I prayed that it was a disallowed Georgia goal but then I heard “goal scored by number 2, Seamus Coleman”. I couldn’t be too aggravated as we only won by that goal in the end.
